Tyonek Health Care Services (THCS) is a partnership between Tyonek Native Corporation (TNC) and Alaska Medical Information Management Data Services (AMI).  THCS is headquartered in Anchorage, AK with a partner office in Southern California.

TNC, the majority owner, is a diversified Alaska Native owned corporation with offices in Alaska, Washington, New Mexico, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.  Many of TNC’s subsidiaries are classified as Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) and many are certified in the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program.  Our companies enjoy well-earned reputations with government agencies and Indian Country organizations.

In 2013, TNC was named by Alaska Business Monthly Magazine as the 21st largest locally owned company in Alaska in terms of total revenue.  Since 1973, TNC has proved its strength and has expanded to meet today’s markets with all the right assets and experience.

AMI, the minority owner, is a partnership that consolidates decades of experience in federal legal and regulatory reform, project and program development, financing and implementation as well as medical information management and data services. Our partnership combines client history for a whole range of institutional venues, both profit and non-profit, throughout the nation.

Our services makes possible a new focus on the critical challenges of medical cost recovery for the areas of Indian Health Service, Tribal Health Care Operations and compliance in the Affordable Care Act era.

THCS starts with an assessment of a client’s health information management systems to identify possible shortcomings in coding and billing.  This is the first step in helping tribes to increase third party revenue, achieve compliance standards which will result in cost effectiveness and self-sufficiency.
